How is mulberry silk made?
The traditional way is to harvest the moth was still in the cocoon silk. This keeps the silk thread from being damaged, and longer fibers can be used. Manufacturers who use this method usually boil the cocoons, which kills the moths. Then, they brush outside cocoon, until you find the end of the fiber, loose the cocoon. Some people use the moths inside as a food source.
